Hopefully this doesn't sound too strange given the context; if my pigs get kinda gamy, I'll give a water-only bath in a small container with a shallow amount of water that stays around their chest or below, then using a small cap, I'll pour water over their back, massage it in and rinse with more cap water, wipe their nose bridge and face sides with water on fingers, get their necks, and try and agitate their belly fur by reaching under the sides with my fingers in the water (they just stand there, so seems easy this way) to remove any possible urine that might be clinging underneath w/o having to actually hold (stress) them for it.

After reading how the genitals and grease gland can get.... extra-dirty, and figuring might as well get them and myself used to doing it, I tried lightly moving the fur around the area while they stood in the water, as well as trying as gently as possible to clean the surrounding genital areas for the first time (my female is roughly 6-7 weeks, male is 8-9 weeks and decided to both around the same time) and all seemed fine (no freak outs, wheeks, etc.). After a quick towel dry and putting the boar back into his cage, I noticed the boar's testies actually became "visible" (like 50% pop out) for the 1st time while he was running around and stopping to clean himself? I was surprised to even see them, and they are probably almost the size of smaller cherry tomatoes? At 8-9 weeks? Thought the "drop" time was closer to 6 months? And that size already? Guessing I inadvertently did something wrong with the cleaning?

After watching him more, it seems to be related to how he's posturing while walking (butt kinda dragging at times) or trying to slink through some 3" pipes in his cage. Also noticed my sow just went into heat today, and their cages are close enough to each other that he's apparently aware, and it might have some influence on what's being seen going on with him, or it's coincidence. Looks like he might be an early bloomer or something, and looks like the bath had nothing to do with it. After reading, I was expecting the testies to either just drop out at a later age or slowly develope, but looks like it's a gradual event that varies between boars? Just trying to soak everything in that was over my head as a kid with a couple piggies, and being the proactive type, just want to learn about what's the norm and what's not, thanks!
