Hi everyone, we currently have a wooden outdoor run which has done the job for a couple of years but is now falling apart. So I need a replacement ahead of summer and I was thinking plastic might be a more durable option. Can anyone recommend a good option? Thanks.

I would advise that you replace it with another wooden run - the best and safest type of run for outside is wood with thick gauge mesh.
Plastic wouldn’t offer protection against predator attack and, depending on style, could be an overheating risk if there was any enclosed/attached housing part.
The only type of run I can think of which has a plastic part is an Omlet run which is not considered suitable.

I agree that plastic is not a good idea. Last year we invested in this Zippi run from Omlet. It is fabulous quality and you can add extra panels to make it bigger.
@Piggies&buns is there some reason that you would think this is unsuitable for piggies or where you thinking of some of Omlet's other products.

It’s the one with the plastic house attached isn’t suitable. Sorry I didn’t specify that as the OP was talking about plastic so I was thinking purely of that particular one.
