I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this , but you know what it's like .. sometimes you just need someone to confirm it.
Our two brothers are 6 months old. I've witnessed the normal dominance behaviour over space - I've now made sure there is two of everything in their cage.
We have recently started looking after a friend's GP for a couple of weeks. They are female. :-S The females are in a separate room, but it has been apparent that our boys can smell them - excited behaviour, squeaking etc.
Tonight I had to separate my boys. Chasing each other, but more worryingly - high up on their back legs attacking each other. V scary. I put one at the top of the cage, blocked off the ramp but he did everything in his power to get back down and start the fighting again. I separated them - completely diff cage and room. Cue lots of squeaking from both, they've now calmed down. They are both still, but seem agitated. I've put the girls as far away as possible, with doors closed.
This is because of the girls right?
