Hi guys so i recently found out that the two so called “female” guinea pigs i’ve got are actually one male and one female.. what do i do? i got so attached to them both already but i don’t want them to have babies and neutering isn’t ideal.

If nothing else seems like an option, get more guinea pigs! :yahoo: :yahoo: Properly sexed of course.
Seriously, put them in side by side cages. They can still socialize, but not mate.
I’m assuming you have looked at how to sex, and good rescues around if you do decide to get another pair.

Oh dear. I hope she is not pregnant. But if she is any girls can live with mum and any boys could live with dad for a few weeks until you found homes for them. One boy could be kept to live with dad permanently. Good luck.
