It looks like an issue with his grease gland.
it could just be that it is dirty and needs the grease to be softened so it can be washed off but they can sometimes get infections in the area. It’s best to take your piggy to a vet for a check before you do anything further if you are unsure whether it may be something more than just dirty

the guide below may help

Bathing (including cleaning grease glands)

Hi!

It is a bit difficult to judge where it is but I think you are dealing with the grease gland.

Please have a read on how to clean grease glands and if necessary see a vet if they are sore and swollen looking. This guide here deals with all common boar problems, inclusding the grease gland: Boar Care: Bits, Bums & Baths

Thank you. I did look up about grease glands, going to try the coconut oil and then a give him a bum bath. He’s going on his holidays on Sunday so hoping it’s nothing serious.

If in any doubt, make an appointment shortly after your return to have him checked.

Yes I defo will. I will also mention to the boarder who is watching them that I have noticed the problem,
