Hi one of my guinea pigs has just attacked the other because she was in the cage first and didnt like the other coming in all of a sudden now poor mandy is terrified!

Are the wounds bleeding? Clean them with a saline solution and it may be worth contacting your vet.

i cant see any wounds but it is very difficult as she has long hair

Have a good look through her hair and just double check.
Your post is in the health section, but are you looking for advice on the behaviour and as to why this could have happened?

Ok. The health advice is as above - check for wounds, clean them and seek veterinary advice if any wounds are severe (so go avoid the risk of infection setting in).

In terms of the behaviour - if you could give us a little bit more background on your piggies it would make it easier to perhaps identify if there was a trigger. Do they normally get on ok?
It could, of course, simply be that she was startled.

I think I know why it was, Molly had been in her cage alone for the first time for an hour and she wanted it to herself so she got annoyed when Mandy came in andthey have enough space it's an 8 foot hutch. They usually get on very well.

They also don't spend much time in the hutch they have free run of the house which they love
