I have a question and need some advice. I have three older boars who get on pretty well (in three Midwest cages joined together) and just recently purchased three additional babies (in one Midwest cage), only to find that one is a sow. Should I get the two other babies neutered since they’ve bonded with the sow, or isolate the sow and rehome the baby boars with the older ones? I’m going back and forth with it because I don’t want the sow to feel lonely, and buying yet another piggie is out of the question.

Hi!

Please separate the sow asap and treat her as pregnant. You are welcome to open an ongoing support thread in our specially monitored pregnancy section that is going to accompany you throughout the whole period. Take the time to read our comprehensive pregnancy, birth, mother&baby care as well as diet information - the latter is a vital tool in helping to tweak the odds in your favour. Please be aware that you cannot keep two boars with any number of sows; especially not once they hit teenage. Neutering will not change that. Also keep in mind that there may be boar babies at some point, so please take the time to think things through and don't make any knee jerk decision.

Geez Louise...
I figured isolating the baby sow would be the most prudent thing. I didn’t take into account that she could be pregnant. I’m pretty sure on the sex, but I’ll post in the other thread just in case. Thank you so much for your advice!
