Ok so I adopted Maple just over a month ago as a companion for Daisy and they have been getting on ok ish. Today Maple keeps trying to mount Daisy and Daisy just sort of turns round quickly and snaps at her. This was happening around a week or 2 ago as well and I just thought it was because Maple was maybe in season but now she's at it again!

Is this going to be stressing Daisy out? I kind of took it that they would never be best of friends but this is kind of worrying me.

Any advice welcome :)

It's scary how alike your two sows are with my two boars. :) Bacon did the same thing when I got his companion, Eggs, and there was a lot of Eggs trying to mount Bacon and Bacon snapping at him. Believe me, it won't stress her out. If it gets too serious, you should separate them. What I did was, when Bacon did that, I would separate them for a few minutes, then try it again. I would go for a little while until it looked like they were doing okay, then I kept repeating that for a few days.

Thanks for the advice. Maple must have just been in season as the mounting has settled down. They still rumble strutt but that doesn't bother me as I know it's normal :)

It seems that it is now Daisy's turn to be in season! I never used to notice when Daisy and Honey came into season but now Daisy is with Maple she is being more hormonal. This just started this morning. Pretty much constant Daisy trying to mount Maple with loads of squeaking.

I have uploaded a video. Is it ok for them to be doing this sort of thing constantly?
