Advice please regarding playpen

Hi,

Hopefully I will be getting two girlies once my boys are neutered, I am hoping to book them in for 1st june so will be six weeks after that before I get any.

I just want to prepare in advance so I know what is going to happen. I was wondering as will be having two pairs if they will start to fall out with their partners, if for instance I put a couple in the play pen, and then couple hours later put the other couple in? I do this now with my single boars and the second one always goes a bit mad smelling the first's tracks etc..

Would I have to put fresh fleece down etc.. and scrub the metal framework before switch over to avoid any falling out between the new couples?

I would recommend that you exchange the fleece with each pair, and that they have their own set of toys and houses to make them feel more comfy.

ok thanks will be a strict mummy when the time comes with my sterilising tablets and the piggie cage disinfectant! I might only get one at a time which would be easier but who knows !

Do you not have any indoor cages? you could take the tops off and use them as a run? would save the hassle of cleaning inbetween, if it could give you an extra enclosed space
