Hi

Hope someone can help me. I have just recieved my massive bag of megazorb and am just about to clean the guinea pigs out. I've never used megazorb before and wondered what people do.
Do I put all over the cage and then just leave it or so I need to cover it with something?
Please help!

Thanks Emma Lou

When I used megazorb in an indoor cage I put a thick layer all over the base of the cage (about an inch deep) then put hay in a corner or somewhere so they could root about in it. :)

Is it an indoor cage? I have fleece in my cage and just use the megazorb in the litter trays so not really sure. I would think it would be fine on its own, with hay somewhere.

I use Megazorb. I have a thick layer of newspaper underneath, then just spread megazorb everywhere. I then add a bit of hay for bedding in the bedroom area, and some more in a rack for eating.

I have used it in indoor and outdoor cages/hutches and it is great.

That's what I do too. :) I find it's quite easy to roll up and clean out if you put newspaper under first. I put in a layer of Megazorb about 2cm, so a little less than an inch.

oh my goodness!
Cleaned out cage and put megazorb down made cage lovely but when I put the girls back in they went mad! I've never ever seen them like this! They started attacking each other, it was horrible. I left them for about 5 mins but they didn't calm down. So I panicked and put the wood shavings back on top of the megazorb!
They calmed down straight away!

What was that all about? Please let me know what you think!
Thanks x
