Getting 2 piggies maybe 3. I am just getting the cage build i have the aspin bedding water bottles and other toys ordered just waiting on the mail. So i have a mid level kitchen/hay room on the left side and a L shaped loft on the right side with 1 grid supporting that level. I will be using aspin bedding for now i might switch to fleece but for now we will try aspin. Any advice, tips or problem areas you see with my set up please help me out! Thanks

I still have to put the coroplast on the 2nd level. I'm going to look into the vet drybed my first time hearing bout it. With the vet bed do you use that in the kitchen or would the aspin be better for the kitchen? Thanks for the advice on the ramp i will double it up and put carpet on it.

lf you ever see cable repaire men working ask them for an off cut, it would make a good ramp

Wow! That is some set up. I'm not qualified really to critique it, I haven't quite owned piggies for 24 hours yet, but just wanted to share in your excitement. I came here with similar questions before I picked up my piggies and found it so useful to do, everyone is really friendly and their advice is great.

cut the vet bed to cage floor size and it will be like a luxury fitted carpet in your cage, it washes and dries in less than a day in warm room, sooner outside

Looks great, vetbed is great but it needs something absorbant underneath like puppy pads as vetbed wicks any wee straight through to the layer underneath. I'd advise not putting it in the kitchen area, hay etc gets stuck in it quite easily from experience. I find it a lot less smell to have bedding like wood shavings where they eat :)

A lil update on the progress of the cage. I'm still looking into getting the vetbed. I just got the aspen beding water bottles and some other things in the mail. This is what it looks like now, I'm not not sure bout the ramp to the loft on the right but for now it is what it is lol.

I love your set up, I particularly love the"ski slope" style ramp. I think you may want to put some barriers up on the loft - particularly at the top of the ramp - at the side nearest the room

I use vet bed with puppy pads, it easy to sweep the poo off and I have a cat litter tray with hay in, I got a wire dog brush which I use on the vet bed to get the loose hay off before washing in a pillow case tided up with string.
