Teenage Guinea Pig
Basically what I'm looking to do is to raise the girls' c&c off the floor using either a table or similar when they come in for the winter in a few weeks. They come into my room with is pretty big so space is not an issue, but it would look so much tidier to have all their bits and pieces in boxes under their cage rather than piled up in my room.
I've seen in Ikea the Lack coffee table (the larger one) which apparently is just the right size for a 4x2, I don't use any correx with the c&c (it's technically just a C )so I was wondering how safe it would be to just have the grids balanced on top, or if there was any way of securing them to the table? I can just see one of the pigs getting too excited, crashing into the grids and knocking the whole thing off the table rolleyes
The other option I was considering was, for those of you who are familiar with PiggiePigPigs on youtube, she has a great setup where a correx tray is balanced on some storage units (no grids). However my concern is correx strong enough to withstand the pop-corning of two rather portly pigs?! And the issue with using a correx tray is that there is less flexibility in changing the size/shape of the cage.
I'm planning an excursion to Ikea this weekend, so I need to make up my mind before then! Anyone with any suggestions/experience would be gladly appreciated! Thanks
