I have recently bought a couple of male guinea pigs. At the moment they are outside in a large hutch but i am going to bring them indoors soon.
They already have: a high rack and mineral lick, some tunnels, a couple of pigloos.
Their hutch is lined with newspaper then there is a layer of supasoft bedding (blended barley straw) and lots of hay.
I have the pet-safe cleaner for cage changes.

I have been recommended a Ferplast 140 to house them indoors.
They will be in a fairly cold room so I will cover the cage with a fleece blanket. I read on this forum that some of you use fleece inside the hutch? Does it get very dirty?
Should I get some kind of safe guinea pig heated pad, hideaway - can you recommend one?
Any other tips you could pass on please...
Thanks for reading!

Shame you already ordered the cage as I am selling mine with stand. I would not use the mineral lick. Guinea pigs do not need it and it makes them thirsty. It would be great to bring them in once the new cage comes. I use a towel with two layers of fleece for my girls and change it every three days. I think it is so much easier then shavings. I remove the poops twice a day which is simple enough.

Well it cost me 140 as it has a stand. I am also throwing in a water bottle and food ball. Wana make me an offer?:^-

I am definitely interested, I did see your for sale ad - but you are probably a 2.40 hour round trip away (if traffic is good) which is quite far - I live close to Wallingford.

Well I am afraid I do not have a car so could not deliver it to you. If I am too far not to worry then.
