Well I caved and went out and brought my 'grids' for the boys new cage. The lady at Tesco gave me such a weird look putting 25 cooling trays through the self service till!
I roughly put them together to get an idea on the set up
Looks pretty good! Very sturdy. I'm going to make the loft 1 more wide as I want to eventually make this for food and hay once I know they will go up there. I'm also going to try and add another 1 to the length as currently only 112cm x 57cm.
Anyway, it's going to take me a while to get the Correx but the cage they are currently in is not suitable (wish I had found this site before I got my boys!) so I want to get them out of it ASAP. I currently use puppy pads and fleece in the cage and wondered if this will be ok to use for the intrim straight onto the carpet? Or should I also put down some plastic/tarp on top of the carpet? I'm not going to do the loft until I get the Correx so this is simply for the base, just to get them into something with a bit more space.
