hello again,

I’m thinking of bringing my two girls for floor time every afternoon from there outside hutch into a C&c cage. I’m trying to socialise them with us. I can’t tell from the website if the C&c cages have grid bases as well as the correx? I will need to move the cage after the girls return to their hutch and I need to know if it will be sturdy enough to handle moving it everyday? Any C&c owners have an opinion on this?

If you build your own, you can add grid base to the bottom. Make sure to secure them with zip ties. The tension strength for the zip ties should be 75lbs. Don't use the small thin ones, those break very easily.

Hi, if you're taking it out and putting it away every day, I would be tempted just to build the perimeter, and only use zip ties rather than the connectors. That way it will fold up really easily - particularly if you leave one part unattached. Another suggestion would be to have a foldaway run with a waterproof base. I use this for two of my guys for floor time. It folds away flat, and is really quick to put up and down. I also use it in the garden during the summer. It's a lot cheaper than C&C and would probably do your job better. You can buy more than one and put them together as well. In the pics I've got shavings in it, but you can do it with fleece just as easily (and more cleanly). This is the one I have, but there are loads on amazon and e-bay, some with base some without. You can buy the base separately too. 55" RABBIT / GUINEA PIG PLAYPEN 8 X PANEL WITH NET RUN PEN ENCLOSURE RUNS HUTCH | eBay I should also say - check the size, as there are smaller ones for very small animals, but they look similar in the pics.

Oops, I didn't read the whole post. If you put it away, you can zip tie C&C grids together, and leave the end with no zip ties. Set it up like the playpen above, then clip the ends together with binder clips. Line your floor with something waterproof, so their pee will not ruin your floor.

To put it away, simply unclip the binder clips, then fold the grids (accordion style).

It will look like this (without the price tag) Grids are cheap.
