I'm adopting a new boy/doing boar dating at a rescue on Saturday and I'm wondering...should I bring home both boys in the same carrier? Or seperate carriers? I always take my boys in the same carrier but since this is a brand new friend, I'm not sure (and the rescue hasn't yet replied). It's going to be cold here so my best option is a normal cat carrier I can easily cover with a blanket.

I'm also assuming once bonding is done and we come home, it is okay to put them together like normal into their cage, which is only occupied by my single boar right now? I'll fully clean their cage that day before adding them (its a 2x4 c&c cage with fleece). I don't intend on quarantining the new boy as he has been vetted by the rescue. I'm going to make sure with the rescue that the new boy is healthy and if we should establish care soon at the vet as one would with an adopted dog/cat.

Once they’ve been bonded you should not separate them. Having said that I’m afraid a 2x4 isn’t big enough for a pair of boars. Could you expand to 2x5 before bringing them home? And having two of everything. There’s no need to quarantine if they’re bonded. You need to register both boys with a vet.
