Not sure whether this should go under behaviour or here.
I added a second layer onto my piggies cage (its now a 2x4 on both levels) with a ramp connecting the two. I have put them on the top level where all of their food and water is and they seemed okay.
I took their veggies up to them a few hours ago, and popped them into the top of the cage as well. I just went up to check on them and they've eaten hardly any of their veggies. Is this because I have changed their environment?
If so, do you think I should change it back to a single level? Or should I give them a few days to settle into the new cage. They've not used the ramp yet either.

If they've not used the ramp yet my advice would be put one piggy at the top level and one at the bottom they soon work it out !
It may be a little steep for them though so keep an eye on them for when they do use it becuase they may hurt themselves and you'll be able to see if it needs adjustments then.

If it's a new cage, give them chance to adjust before changing everything again or making any big decisions ! it's a big scary world for little piggies.

Thanks. I just popped Luna in the bottom level, and Penny is in the top. I'll go up in an hour or so to see where they are.

they will take a little time to get used to the new arrangement, mine do when I move them from hutch to winter pen and back again. It also took a little while even though they had been using a ramp in the winter pen, to get used to the steaper hutch ramp, but no problems with them scooting up and down it now

I put their housing, water etc on the top level of mine, food & hay on the bottom. There may be a few occasions where they really dont get it and you need to intervene, but in a couple of weeks they will get the idea!
