I'm looking a buying a new cage for Barnum (boar) and hopefully another boar soon as we've been boar dating. But there are so many options.

His current cage is a shop bought cage and is great as in terms of fleece as I hang the fleece over the sides and put the lid on top sp stops him burrowing under. But for 2 boar it needs to be much much bigger.

I'm currently looking after 2 gps in a 4x2 c&c cage and I like the space and look. My only problem with it is that they lift the fleece. Also I think I would have to. Have a wooden lid as I have a rather big ragdoll cat and although she shows no interest in Barnum you can never be sure and I'd worry if she jumped on the c&c cage lid she'd buckle it. She has no access to the gps I'm looking after.

I also saw someone on here mention midwestern guinea pig cages which looked great but how easy would it be to use fleece and how easy are they to clean? Was also quite confused with the whole lid situation. Is this cage big enough?

I like the look of these hutches in terms of easy to find a space but would this 1 be too small as even though it's 3 levels it's only 100cm long? Also how balanced is a 3 storey cage? I have 2 dogs. Or would I be better with one of these? But they are much more expensive! Also how easy is a 2/3 storey cage to clean?

Sorry for the long winded message just want to make the right choice!

I really like the look of the wayfair apparently you can wash the bottom altho it gets wee stained. However you can put a shower curtain on top then your fleece towels etc I think it's be fine.

C&c is great if * can do it properly, I have found it very tricky to make base...

you could make a lid out of the grids. I hated my boys getting under the fleece too so i use mini bull dog clips to clip the fleece to the correx base. I take the fleece and put it over the sides and under the bas so I'm practically wrapping my base in the fleece then I clip it too.
You can kinda see it in the pic below, the fleece is clipped on

Hello :)

At least one level of the guinea pig cage/hutch has to be a minimum of 120cm.

The link for the three tier cage is 120 and I have 2 of them. They are very strong and balanced. I have a yorkie x russell dog and he doesn't pay them attention but he wouldn't be able to knock it over if he tried.

They are great cages if you have not got a lot of space :) all of my piggies love it and like being right at the top to be nosey!

I bought my 120 3 tier for £135 as you get a 10% new customer discount. It arrived a little damaged so I had a £30 refund.

To clean a whole 3 tier it takes about an hour :)

Hope I helped :)

The bull dogs clips are a really good idea! I'm not sure the lid made out of grids is strong enough to take the weight of my huge cat if she ever decided to sit on it!

I was pretty sure 100cm wasn't big enough thinking 3 storey 120 or c&c think I'm going to have to measure up and see what I can fit in with some furniture moving! My main concern is making sure it offers enough protection from my gorgeous but huge ragdoll cat. C&c grid lids don't seem strong enough!
