Excuse me if thus is the wrong tab?

yesterday I introduced my male and spayed female, and everything went well in my opinion. Better than some of my other introductions!
but, my issues is he seems to have lost weight over night. He’s been maintaining his weight until now, is it the change ? Should I give him a while to get use to his new roommate ?

I will take him to my vet if need be! Already spoke to them actually and they informed me if it continues to bring him in, but wanted advice to see if he’s sick or just getting used to changes. He was alone for awhile while she was in quarantine and so on.

he’s still been rumbling, and she doesn’t seem to mind, besides her spraying him when he sniffs her behind area.
I’m just glad he has a friend again. They eat together and even sleep together when I look at them!

Hi!

Please weigh any healthy piggy once weekly. The more often you weigh, the more the weight will go up and down. Just the difference between and full and and empty belly can make 30-40g; the difference between a full and empty bladder is 10g; so you see quite an up and down over 24 hours. We only speak of weight loss from 50g onwards.
Our weight guide looks at all aspects of weight and weighing, including when and how soon you need to see a vet and how you can check whether a piggy is a good weight for its individual size.
Here is the link; you will hopefully find it very helpful: Weight - Monitoring and Management

Take a deep breath. As long as your new boy is acting normally, step back and let him get on with the bonding; he will be fine! All the excitement of being with a sow is not a problem!
The weight can rise or stabilise a little lower in a new pair depending on how dominance works out eventually but that is no reason to worry if it settles and is stable, and your piggy is healthy. Please keep in mind that the bonding process takes on average 2 weeks to fully work out the hierarchy and establish a new group. The behaviour is perfectly normal and what you would expect to see from a sow that is not in season and is in control.
