Advice needed please

This morning I noticed a small scratch on my guinea pigs private parts which I think its just him catching with his nail accidentally.
However I also noticed for the first time that something is sticking out of his bum. Its longish piece of his skin and can’t be removed as its not loose . Its not been there before.
Today whenever I pick him up it’s sticking out like this but couple of times it was back inside?
What could it be ? Should I take him to vets tomorrow morning?

Has he been neutered recently? Is it possible that it is a piece of suture material?
I agree that whatever it is that is hanging out, it does need to be seen by a vet as that is not normal.

Definitely worth a trip to the vet to get him properly checked out.

hes not been neutered and looking up close it is skin/flesh but still not a clue as what it is and why it appeared overnight so will definitely take him to vets tomorrow.
