Advice needed please on nesting area size

Hi Guys I have just had a phone call from the man who is making my new hutch for sonic

The hutch will be 8ft long by 2 ft wide and 3 ft heigh

He has asked if 1 foot by 2 foot on each end is enough for the 'sleeping quaters'
there will be 2 sleeping quaters one on either end of the hutch with then 6 foot between the 2

Should I go for 1 foot by 2 foot or maybe ask for 2x2 for each of the nesting areas?

At present its for the 1 piggie, but hoping to get him a pal from cavy corner soon
Its how he makes his hutches for some reason and I thought the space would be good for the boys if they are not getting along?

Also the board looks removable if not needed to give an extra space if not needed

Well I have gone for the 1x2 double nesting areas with the option to remove one and I'm assured by hubby that he can enlarge one if needs be
cant waittttttttttt for it to be delivered
comes monday evening
