Our daughter adopted 2 guinea pigs in February of this year. One had to go in for a removal of cyst and died on the table. We are concerned for the other pig. We have also bought 2 young sisters but understand there maybe issues introducing them all. We want to do the right thing. The wee pig that is left is getting plenty of attention. Can anyone give advice to novice owners?

Hi and welcome!

I am very sorry for your loss! You are doing the right thing in finding her new friends.
In addition to the introductions thread, you may find these threads here helpful to understand the dynamics you are going to see. Your original girl may be quite dominant at first to preserve her place in the hierarchy, especially if she is older than your newbies. You may find it hard to sit by, as piggy dynamics can look a lot like bullying to us humans, who do not have to spell everything out in large print!

You are very welcome to post a tribute to the girls that has passed away in our Rainbow Bridge section.
