Hello All,

Just wanted some opinions on what you thought was the best holiday home for two indoor guinea pigs? Boars.

At Christmas I will be going home to Manchester to stay with my family for approximately a week. Guinea pigs will be coming with to enjoy their very first Christmas.

I bought the Ferplast 140 as I thought this would make a great holiday home - until I realised I couldn't get it in the car...... well I could, but there was no room for anything else, oooops!

Any recommendations? Perhaps for a two tier plastic bottomed cage for indoor use?

Or something that you can dismantle right down so it saves space in the car?

I could use their C&C cage set up, but it wouldn't be my Mum's ideal choice - not with hay and poop being kicked out. So looking for alternative solutions at the moment.

xx

What a lovely idea! Taking them with you! :))

I've got one of these :

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FABRIC-PE...UK_Pet_Supplies_Dogs&var=&hash=item746be5088e

It isn't solid, but folds right down completely flat. It would be fine if there are no dogs/cats where you are going. The medium one is huge, much bigger across than it says, (my 3 look lost in it!) so a small one would probably be fine for 2 pigs.

It has a waterproof removable bottom, I put newspaper in on top of that then you could put a couple of fleeces on top. I do put mine on a wood floor though rolleyes

Brilliant idea! That's sorted then :))

No cats and dogs but my brother might bring his dog Christmas day but that's fine because he won't go upstairs and I can keep my little boys in my room on that day :))

Brilliant, thank you thank you!

Just butting in to say thank you for asking that question and for a great answer! I've the same problem with the Ferplast (can't remember if mine is 120 or 140 but it's a pain even to get through doorways). I want to be able to take my boys to my parents' house easily so that looks great. AND it might be perfect for an indoor run cos the metal fence one I have at the moment means I get hay and poo kicked all over the floor. Thank you!
