I'm looking at getting an indoor hutch for my guinea pig and hoping to keep it in the porch were it will fit nicely out of the way but I can still see the guinea pig when walking round the house, at the moment the porch is a lovely temp but during winter it's freezing, but obviously not as cold as being outside, and there is no wind, but a tiny draught what do you think about me putting a thermal hutch cover over it, I've seen one that will fit... Would this be warm enough? I suppose it like keeping her in a shed, in the summer the heat doesn't sore though because it's not direct sunlight it says just slightly cooler than the house. It's only in the winter it gets cold.

I'm sure a user on here has that cage! Hopefully someone can give advice as my piggies are inside.

@BossHogg Any advice? I'm sure you had your piggies outside before :)

How about a little oil filled radiator and an extension lead, they're fairly cheap to run, it doesn't have to be on full, just enough to take the chill off. ;)

I ordered one of those and sent it back - mine wasn't as big as the measurements said and it was very poor quality for the price I paid. I am currently using an out door hutch indoor - with an altered roof so it wouldn't get too hot.

I like the idea of them being in a porch rather than outside :) Like Boss said, you can plug in a little heater :)
