A couple of questions if I may about cages. We are happy with our cage and use gp friendly woodsavings which are fine. I did once try and put newspaper under the shavings but overnight they pulled it all up and literally ate half! So I've not done it since as one made a mess and not sure if was okay health wise to eat newsprint. Should I attempt again? Second question is we have a half second floor the type with bowl and ladder but not once have they gone up is this because I don't put food up there? Would prefer to put food up there as frees space but worried they then would be hungry with never going up there. Was thinking of removing the steps if never going to use it as they just use it as one of their hideaways (we have a second so both pigs have their own)? Sorry for long post. Thanks.
