I currently have a ferplast commercially made cage as I dont have room for a c&c cage at the moment (and we have a cat and I dont trust myself to cat proof it!). I want to add a hay loft to my current cage to give Gertie a bit more room and create a sheltered area for her but i'm not sure the best way to go about it. I have got some correx and plenty of cable ties.... any ideas much appreciated! :(|)

I added a hay loft to my ferplast 140 using two plastic grids and some corrext and plenty of cable ties :-) a correx tray held up by some dowel spanning the width of the cage will be fit if its thick correx :-)

Hey that sounds like a great idea with the dowel! Will give it a go, think I might need to make a landing half way down the ramp otherwise it will be pretty steep. :)) How steep can guinea pigs climb anyway?

Steepness really depends on the pig, my pig bentley can run up anything he's quite fit where as Chester my chubby pig struggles with most things and i've had to make adjustments ! haha.

I had a comercial cage and just added a paper sorting tray, if you could find one and cable tie it then line it with correx that would work (:
