I have a two storey hutch with a run on the bottom. I am hoping to adapt it to house our two Boars who have had to be separated. I was thinking of attaching some wood round the bottom section and adding a sleeping box - would this be enough for them for now? They are in the garage and there is no room for a bigger hutch in there. I also was going to buy some fake grass like astroturf and put that in the bottom so Hattie had a section that was warmer on his toes. Currently the floor is a folded over oil cloth with newspaper and saw dust but on the concrete thug he spends most of his time sitting on the ramp. For now he is being moved to a cat basket for sleeping and i am having to move his food and water so would prefer something more permanent.

Would be wary of fake turf in case he chews it.You could get correx to put down as a base and just make it so you could pull the front down for cleaning. If you could cope with fleece you could make a liner then put cosies in or you could just use shavings and hay like you do with the top one and a hidey
