Hello, I’m just after a little advice or to see if anyone has had anything similar.

My 5 year old piggy Darcy went for surgery to remove an abscess on her belly. Around a week later we noticed another lump, lower down, so we rushed her back the vets, they took a sample and it had blood and some sort of white substance, possibly puss in it so they believe it was an infection. She’s been on antibiotics for 9 days. Last night we measured the lump, it hasn’t got any bigger but it hasn’t got any smaller either and it’s all moved lower down so it’s closer to the inside of her leg. You can moved the lump around really easy, around an inch or so and it drops back down.

She has vets again this evening… has any one got any ideas what it might be. I’m really reluctant to do another surgery due to her age 🥺

I can’t advise but just wanted to offer support.
Hope the vet trip went well.
Thank you 🥺 they think it’s another abscess and think it’s best to operate again when her other wound has healed more. Was hoping to avoid it due to her age but I don’t want to risk it getting bigger ☹️ she’s really going through it atm and hope I can make it better for her

If it's easily movable, then it is probably a cyst or infection. Hope the vet trip goes well!

Hope the surgery goes well.
My Jemimah was 4 when she had an abscess removed.
She did well afterwards but it’s a very anxious time.
