No, just clean the igloo house regularly. Lots of members use these houses with no problems

how often is recommended?

However often is felt necessary and will probably vary depending on number of pigs being kept together and how much they love the igloo. A pair that use other hideys and rarely use the igloo will need it cleaning less than a group of 10 whose preference is that very igloo. If it smells of urine then it isn't being cleaned often enough.

I wipe mine daily with a warm wet cloth to remove any muck, and give it a good wash in soapy water once a week, don't forget to rinse it off. ;)

I cleaned the cage once a week, but I have not cleaned the Igloo house. Is it fine?

Yes. Just wipe it with paper towel and water and it will be fine.

Just checking - does it have a solid base or is it just one that sits on top of the bedding? If it is an all in one plastic igloo with a solid plastic base then the base will need washing as frequently as the rest of the cage or more frequently. If it has no base and sits on the bedding then just periodic wiping will be fine.

If it’s the top style one, then as I have said, a wipe from time to time.

If it’s the bottom one, then the base needs more frequent cleaning (and it’s why we don’t use them any longer to be honest.
