I have 2 female piggies - sisters Abby and pregnant Jemma

they both get on like house on fire :))

Pregnant Jemma is heavily pregnant. They are both separated to give Jemma space.

Ive noticed the last few days that Abby is rumbling and strutting like a male towards Jemma through the cage division?/

Why would she be doing this since pregnant Jemma is the dominant sow?

Ive never ever seen Abby do this before ?/

They are both definately females

Abby was rumbling and strutting from left to right just like a male - very bizaaar :{

Could she be imitating male behaviour? Wonder what she trying to say to pregnant Jemma?

gosh she keeps doing the rumbling - its only the last few days :( good job i sepaated them

I don't know why she is doing it now, but my last two did loads of rumble strutting, mounting etc when their hormones were crazy in their teens rolleyes. I think it's sorting out who's boss, maybe the pregnant one is a little more relaxed at the moment so the other one thinks she can take over as boss by trying to throw her weight around a bit? When are the babies due?

Sorry I'm not much help :red

she's in season, she should calm down in a couple of days :)) nothing to worry about

Mabel does this too when she's in season, Dottie gets annoyed and squirts her with pee rolleyes, it does calm down after a couple of days i promise!

I noticed earlier in the week my oldest girl Amelia who is the sweetest of sweet piggies was chasing and mounting one of the younger girls in the herd :...
Only lasted for a couple of days so this has answered my concerns.
She probably thought her cute face and big blue eyes would lure me into a false belief that she's not really a little trollop :(|) ;)

yes that makes sense............ after she strutted and rumbled she popcorned like she got a thrill out of it LOL

They are both lying down facing each other through the grids division making happy noises - they love each other.

Babies are due within next few weeks. mama Jemma is doing very well I'm sleeping by her cage and being a good mama :))
