Hi everyone,
I have a three year old guinea pig who, while has maybe can be described as quote neurotic, is mostly fine and has happily sat with me, nibbled and licked me for the past three years.
Today I let her have the run of the spare room as I usually do (no wires to be chewed and nothing dangerous to her in there).
In between writing my essays, I've been checking on her every 30 minutes or so and she's been fine all day, but around 40 minutes ago I went to check on her, I didn't charge in to the room or make any loud noises, and she freaked out and ran like I've never seen her run before. I picked her up for a few minutes, stroked her and when I put her back down she ran away again. She now has been sitting very still in her cage since.
I find it strange because I have unintentionally done a lot worse in the past, and when she realises there's no danger she is ok. But she hasn't reacted to me like this before.
I just wondered if anyone else has experienced the same thing with their guinea pig?
