Morning all,

I just wanted to ask about a noise that Guinness has been making that I've not heard before. A couple of days ago he made a sort of sound that was quite loud and sounded like a cross between when you click your tongue against the back of your teeth and a squeak. Does that make sense?

He made it when I was putting him back in his cage after cuddles and I thought it was a "put me down now" kind of noise as he doesn't like being carried around (although he loves cuddles he just hates the transporting from place to place part) but today he made it whilst running around in his cage. I've only heard it twice and Bailey has never made this sound. It's not sneezing is it? He's ok in himself and is eating and pooping fine.

~Hope that somebody can shed some light on this for me. :{

Anyone? Or is this such an obscure sound that nobody knows what I'm talking about? lol I know it's a rubbish descripition but I can't think of another way to describe it.

Could it be a little sneeze or hiccup?

Thanks, Wiebke. Maybe....I didn't think of hiccups, never even occured to me that piggies can get them, lol! It's only one quick sound, not repeated. I'm not sure. Just hope its nothing I should be worried about thats all. He hasn't made it again since this morning, it's a bit strange really. Thanks for the suggestion, I need to stop worrying about every little thing.

Sorry for the double post guys, I must have got a bit click happy- I'm terrible for doing that!

If the piggie is eating and drinking then it doesnt sound as though the noise he made was one of distress. My piggies give the odd cough and occasionaly have the heaving hiccups! The first time my piggie had the heaves I thought he was having a fit. It was as though he was trying to bring up a fur ball! Its usually over as quickly as it starts, but is a bit scary!
