Yesterday our slave bought us a new toy.
It is a lovely sea grass ball with a jingling bell inside.

When she first put it into our cage she was chattering away about the importance of 'environmental enrichment' and looking rather pleased with herself.

Obviously we all ignored the toy, and when Lucy accidentally touched it and it made a noise we shot back into our hideys and looked terrified for at least half an hour.
It is important not to love new things that your slaves bring too quickly, otherwise they will become complacent and stop trying to find amazing new things for you all the time.

Anyway finally the temptation was too great, and at 3am this morning Oreo and I had a wonderful game with the new toy. We were rocketing around the cage, and ripping at the ball, and the bell was jingling like mad.
We were making so much noise we didn't even hear our slave come down the stairs.

And then she took our new toy away!
Rather than being thrilled that we were enjoying it so much, she just took it out of our cage.
She didn't seem so keen on 'environmental enrichment' at 3am I can tell you.

This morning we got our new toy back, and I am secretly hoping she might forget to take it away at bedtime and Oreo and I can finish our football game.

Love Eddi

Eddi is a very logical thinker, he seems to have had the situation very much under control, smart little piggy!
Unfortunately I have to say I would have taken the same course of action as his slave at 3 in the morning!:))

We love your story's Eddi, our slave constantly goes on about wanting to interact with us more so when We make the effort she just sighs how are We supposed to know That we're been cleaned out and it's not a new adventure park of fleece that We have queued for hours to get into!

Eddi,

What is wrong with these slaves? Don't they know that a good game of soccer before dawn is such an exciting thing? I hope she forgets to take it away tonight or maybe you ca talk her into removing the bell as a compromise? Maybe you can bribe the mini hoomans to replace the bell with BLUEBERRIES?

Freyja - I like the way you are thinking there.
And now that you mention it, it does seem like forever since I last had a blueberry.*
I shall be sure to mention it to my slave today, however she is still proving quite slow on the uptake at times.
These humans can be tricky to train can't they?

Love Eddi

*Eddi, you actually had a blueberry yesterday, which is not 'forever ago'.

The slaves were late with our veggies this morning! Apparently something more important delayed it, what could be more important than out veggies on time?
Seriously they were a whole THIRTY MINUTES late!, just can't get the staff these days!

They did however try to make up for it with some fresh carrot greens thrown in, those are hardly EVER served so I suppose I will let it slide this time.
