Yesterday our slave bought us a new toy.
It is a lovely sea grass ball with a jingling bell inside.
When she first put it into our cage she was chattering away about the importance of 'environmental enrichment' and looking rather pleased with herself.
Obviously we all ignored the toy, and when Lucy accidentally touched it and it made a noise we shot back into our hideys and looked terrified for at least half an hour.
It is important not to love new things that your slaves bring too quickly, otherwise they will become complacent and stop trying to find amazing new things for you all the time.
Anyway finally the temptation was too great, and at 3am this morning Oreo and I had a wonderful game with the new toy. We were rocketing around the cage, and ripping at the ball, and the bell was jingling like mad.
We were making so much noise we didn't even hear our slave come down the stairs.
And then she took our new toy away!
Rather than being thrilled that we were enjoying it so much, she just took it out of our cage.
She didn't seem so keen on 'environmental enrichment' at 3am I can tell you.
This morning we got our new toy back, and I am secretly hoping she might forget to take it away at bedtime and Oreo and I can finish our football game.
Love Eddi
