Pepper has got into the habit of chewing the correx of their cage for attention and food, he will start to do it whilst I am preparing their food and in the late afternoon before diner time. Do the nibble guards on the correx work or will he just chew them off too?
Any other tips to stop this behavior?
Thanks!

I found the nibble guards worked well for my chewers.
It stopped Ruby biting the correx and now she just shrieks at the bars :))

Chewing the core won't actually harm them if they don't swallow it. I only wanted to protect mine because I can't get it easily in Switzerland.

Thank you! I will invest in some... he eats it so that’s what I am worried about, plastic and bath mats are his favourite 🙄

In case you don't find nibble bars on the first try @rp1993, you are looking for slide binders. You can get them almost anywhere (eBay, Amazon, high street) and in loads of spiffy colours. Be prepared for some sore fingers upon getting them on the correx but it is so worth it!
Thank you! I will target the most chewed placed first then!

The slide binders work well, you can cut them with a hack saw to fit the left over space on a run, there's always a left over bit on every straight run! I got 9mm binders last time, they slide on much easier.
