Junior Guinea Pig
Ihaven't posted for a while now so I thought I'd give an update on the boys. The three of them are doing great!
Sam is nearly 5 months old now. He's got a hormone spike and has started some dominance behaviours. No big deal so far. We'll see how that goes, but I really doubt anything will go wrong. He's already a big boy, now at 970g!
Emil is getting more and more friendly. When we go near the cage, he will walk up to us and look up expectantly. He'll stand there until we give him his pats. He loves pats across his back. He will lie down and half close his eyes. Afterwards he'll sometimes lick my fingers, kind of as a thank you. He's 9 months old now, and currently our smallest piggy at only around 900g!
Milo is starting to finally get used to us being around. All three boys came from a rescue, but Milo is the only one that had a previous owner. If I had to guess, I'd say he was a pet for children, who got bored of him after about half a year and he ended up in a rescue, alone. He's still afraid of hands in general, but he's getting more comfortable. He's around 15 months old, and the calmest of them all. Sam sometimes takes did right out of his mouth and Milo will just go look for something else to eat! He's stably around 1050g. Quite a small boy!
