Hi guys I hope you are all well and piggies too. I was wondering is it normal for poops to become more and squidgier slightly wet some in big clumps stuck together and just squashed everywhere to the point it’s stuck in piggies paws in the morning! After I have changed hay supplier? Hay box seems so much poo much darker wetter 💩

Hi

Lots of poos is perfect, sticky is not. See whether a day or two without veg can help with the consistency and allow the gut microbiome to adjust to the new food.

Hello again so the girls weren’t too fussed about thier veg lastnig hot unusually they were happy with fresh hay but definitely wheeking this morning I feel bad how long exactly can I stop the veg for? At the moment the poo is still dark and sticky x

You need to keep them off veg until poops go back to normal and aren’t sticky any more, could be a few days

Thank you guys I will leave the veg again today and tomorrow I feel bad they keep coming up to the cage they look very confused lol shame but hopefully things return to normal asap x

You could also add some probiotics which you can easily get from a pet shop or online if things don't settle quickly. Either syringe them with a little water or spinkle over some soaked pellets.
