Right now the weather is very warm in some places.
It is extremely important that we piggies make sure to keep up with our slave training at times like this.

My top tips for making sure your slaves stay focused on you, and don’t go spending too much time outside enjoying the hot weather are as follows.

1. When you hear your slaves coming, immediately lay in the warmest, fleeciest part of your cage. My personal preference is for a fleece tunnel, but use what you have fellow piggies. Seeing you laying in a warm tunnel on a hot day will cause you slave to start worrying, and focus directly on you.

2. Your slaves will probably rush off to refill your water bottles, and bring you some nice fresh veg.
Be sure not to eat this too enthusiastically, in case they think everything is now ok.

3. They may start to add some strange and scary things to your cage such as frozen bottles covered in a towel or sock, or cool ceramic tiles.
It is your job to avoid these at all costs, and deliberately not go anywhere near them. Bonus points if you are able to act terrified while they are watching.

The ultimate goal is to keep your slaves focused on you, and make sure they offer you something good.
Harry and I (but mostly me, because Harry is a bit useless at slave manipulation) are always aiming for late evening grass time, or cool muslins draped over our cage and some indirect breeze from a fan.

We would love to hear what other piggies like their slaves to do when it is hot outside.
I am always happy to have new ideas.

Hi Ruby

I love sitting in a nice fleecy tunnel when the weather is hot. They are so comfy so why not? Slave even shaved all my lovely long fur off cos she said I must be too hot! The indignity of it all! Now I feel rather naked! At least I had a lot of yummy lettuce all to myself and didn't have to share it with Dennis. Oh and I am cooler (don't you just hate it when Slaves are right?)

Pigslave put in something wrapped in fleece the other day. We had a sniff and turned our noses up at it. We chose our (plastic) pigloos over this invasion of our personal space. Does that count?

Plastic pigloos are an excellent choice. I will have to add one ot my wish list I think.
Can you believe the big slave actually removed my lovely fleecy tunnel and tried to replace it with a willow one with a noodle mat on the bottom.
I refused to lay in it, and stood biting the bars until they bought my lovely warm fleecy tunnel back.
Sometimes it is difficult but you need ot be firm and stand your ground with slaves.

Dear Ruby,
Our pig slave gave use a cold thing wrapped up in a towel, but we thought it would be more fun to take the towel off and pull it round the cage and lick it like a giant ice pop, they are really great you know! B673707F-DB22-41F5-8E9F-C4B5060B49E7.webp

All the PigglePuggle piggies agree with Ruby, heatwaves are an excellent opportunity to trick your slaves!
Playpen time doesnt normally happen until 10am but last Thursday it was hot so bigpig Clover decided to ignore the shady cage areas and lie down right in a sunbeam in a fleecy bed and start panting at 8am to trick the slaves into running around setting up the playpen and serving chilled cucumber slices as soon as they woke up. Then on Friday Ollie decided to take a nap in a face down double chooken pose while the hoomans were at the park that triggered an immediate switch on of the fan, water bottle refilling, and hand feeding of chilled strawberry tops even though fruit doesnt happen on fridays!
Those chilled bottles in socks should be avoided at all costs though, or rumbled at and nose jabbed into submission, it seems they can cause unexpected hair cuts and bum baths which is something floofy piggies should watch out for in hot weather. Be alert summer floofy pigs in case this happens to you! Blodwen says looking too sleepy in a fleecy tunnel in hot weather can trigger a scary abduction experience to the bathroom and your carefully pee styled poopy skirts might turn into a shampoo scented short back and sides, then the slaves might see how tubby you are under your fur and start talking about restricting the carrots...!

Thanks ruby😁 our slave always brings some sort of cold pack into our cage?😑 we always avoid it at all costs😃 today she bought us some sort of 'pen'?😂 she puts warm soft stuff down at the bottom and puts the yummy tunnels in as well and we go in it😋 then we start eating the tunnels😍 luckily they are very big so they will take at least 10 minutes for us to destroy😃 she also gives us a bit of carrot and pepper so we eat that and start asking her for more and she can't resist our beautiful faces so she get us a bit of cucumber and we eat that😁 then we relax and slave goes 'awwww' and puts this weird thing in our face and we can hear little clicking noises?😬

Dear Ruby
Thank you so much for this. We needed some new ideas on how to get to our slave. She has become wise to our ways and our old tricks weren’t working.
Love Dexter and Popcorn

Ps as a floofy piggy, I have been a victim of the unexpected hair cut just last week. It was absolutely awful. I nipped the slave three times to show my displeasure but she carried on anyway and just moved her finger out the way. I was furious. Then to top it all when I got put back in with Popcorn, he didn’t seem to recognise me and humped me incessantly for five whole minutes until I shouted at him and then he realised who I was! The slave has a lot to answer for - Dex

All I can think, Ruby, is that it's a good thing you never knew Comet and Blitzen, or you might have taken advice from them too. They realised the best way to cause panic on overly warm days was to stuff themselves both into a fleece tunnel that wasn't big enough for them to stand side by side in, and then wait for someone to notice.
And panic.
And be unable to get them out because they squashed themselves in so tightly.

Aye, Ruby. Some things I'm definitely grateful for :))
