I use white vinegar to clean my guinea pigs indoor plastic cage and plastic equipment, It's great for any dirt or stains that won't come off of plastic. We recently bought a 2nd hand guinea pig indoor plastic cage and had lots of stains on the base then we used white vinegar and it looked brand new! You can use it neat or diluted but make sure you wash it off afterwards or it stinks!

I have heard this before, I know some people use it to get rid of stubborn urine stains but have to leave the cage outside for ages as it smells like a chippy
