Hi!
I was holding Brownie, who is about 5 and a half years old, and she sneezed a couple of times, maybe about 4. She had a little bit of clear fluid (mucus?) was just inside of her nose. I wiped it off, and she hasnt sneezed or had mucus since. She has no eye or nose or ear build-up. I am hoping I am just overreacting, but I just wanted to make sure.

It might of been just some hay dust or something else that got into her nose and she was trying to get it out?

Hi

It was most likely some dust or pollen in the nose that has been sneezed out to clear the nose.

Please accept that a bacterial respiratory infection is not the same as human viral cold and that typical onset symptoms actually differ quite considerably.

Sneezing is much more like to be a reaction to the environment (hay/bedding/house dust, sometimes pollen, irritants from smok, incense or perfumed products (skin products and air fresheners) and in fact not one of the most common symptoms for an infection unless you are dealing with constant sneezing (or coughing) every few minutes for hours on end.

A one-off sneezing fit is not anything to worry about. it is the same as you getting a noseful of dust and reacting exactly the same. ;)
