I am getting really excited over getting my C&C cage. When I get a bigger cage I will attempt to take McMac boar dating. Then I can feel sure that I have a sufficiently sized cage to be able to house a second piggy.

The thing is I can't decide whether to make a 2x4 or a 2x5. I guess a lot of it depends on what mum will let me have but to me when I look at 2x4 size cage videos and pictures they look really small for 2 pigs :S I know it says 2x4 is enough for 2 piggies and I don't know why but they look quite small to me and I want to be able to give my piggies the biggest cage I can.
Long story short I want to try making my pigs a 2x5 cage. But if I am not allowed would a 2x4 be big enough :S
Thanks x

A 2x4 grid cage would be enough if you aren't allowed a bigger cage. However, you can always think about building upwards to create more space!

Yeah I was thinking of making a loft space but that might have to come a little later when I have the ramp and everything :)

Dottie and Mabel were originally in a 2x4 with hay loft and it seemed fine for them. Now that I have Fin they have a 2x5 as I felt it was too cramped with the three of them in the 2x4! They love it and have plenty of space for cosies etc and to whizz about in their mad moments of excitement! :))

I would always make the biggest cage that you can, if you can only do a 2x4 then thats fine. I agree though that they are bigger than they look on pics :)
