Hi lovely piggie peeps!

Lollipop and Peepo are now 16 weeks old and very happy and healthy thanks to all the great advice on here. They are loving their winter quarters of 120cm Ferplast cage and fabric large playpen. My house is filled with Parsley, peppers, hay, more hay and....more hay LOL! I am about to order the 6ft hutch from Welfare Hutch Company but am needing a rain cover as our patio does get rain and wind blasted quite often. They recommend Scratch and Newton covers but wondered what your recommendations are based on experience. My two girls have saved up for it so I really want to try and get it right first time....any ideas muchly appreciated. x:help::ple::):hmm:

I have the scratch and newton hutch cover and the snuggle as well for insulation. When I just had the hutch cover on without the snuggle it sagged at the back of the hutch meaning a puddle of water would sit on it and the roof of the hutch started growing a touch of mould. We used a couple of bricks at the front under the cover to lift it higher which solved the problem. This might just be that there isn't much of a slope on the roof of my particular hutch which is the Chartwell 6ft and it isn't a particularly well built hutch either.

i bought a "glass clear" tarpaulain off amazon or ebay to cover my 6' hutch, its kept them dry& draught free all winter.

:D I was going to recommend "Scratch and Newton", too, as they make them to measure. Pets at Home used to sell the covers and insulators but I don't know if they do one that size.
