Junior Guinea Pig
I will be having 6 guinea pigs living together i know what the minimum is but what would you guys recommend from experience? will be housing 1 neutered boy and 5 girlies. i hear alot of people say as big as you can but i gotta move alot of things to make room so i need an idea of how much i should have to give room i am open to all types of cages 1 level multi levels ect. just need an idea.
I'm not sure where this should be posted but i think this is the place what kinds of bedding are great to use? we dont have a whole lot around here i have been using fleece, towels, newspaper, puppypads, and wash clothes in corners that are changed twice a day but its still a pain not to mention all the washing. the only wood based stuff we have (not sure what its called at the moment) is safe to use as it is low on dust and such but i tried it in the litterbox once and me and fudge both had problems with it (i have asthma) so thats a no. we have this critter care stuff that is soft its very similar to carefresh(something we also dont have unless you order it) but it costs 5 dollars for a tiny bag and it would cost me around 60 everytime i clean the cage! i can get an abundance of straw real cheap though will this work? i havent found any paper based litter yet either. no wonder noone has the proper size cage its very costly just to keep bedding in it.
