6" Legs Or Longer For 6ft Hutch?

Hi folks,

Just please indulge me with one final question before I order my hutch and run for the girls!?

...the Welfare Hutch company 6ft hutch comes with 6 inch legs as standard but they came make the legs up to 2 ft high at no extra cost. Not sure what to go for as patio very windy and gets rain battered. Would they be better or worse off higher up please?

Unless you are intending to leave the hutch doors open so your guinea pigs can come and go I would personally go for the higher legs so the hutch is higher off the ground as the higher the hutch from the ground, the warmer.

My piggies are indoors but their cage is on a table which is about 2ft high

If you go for the higher hutch you can always build them a ramp if you intend building a run around it
I don't know the answer to your question though x
