I've already got a 4x2 C&C and I'm going to do a hayloft on top next month. I don't know whether to do a 2x2 or a 2x1, a 2x2 means more space but then it will be hard for me to pick up my pigs from underneath. mallethead What do you guys think is a better idea?

woops meant to reply not thank !

I have a 1x2 and thats just about right for being able to reach them in the back corner if it was a 2x2 i would have no hope in hell of getting them plus it would be quite dark and hard to clean in that area.

Let's see if I can explain this..! I've been sketching on and off for two days planning a C&C cage for two boars and that's exactly what I'm looking at: a 4 x 2 with a 2 x 2 loft. Mine has to be enclosed due to one notable feline resident, but I'm thinking I'll have the two middle front grids cable-tied on the outer sides, bulldog clip them in the middle, and use them as doors. Similar thing in the loft, only using two grids on the top that open upward. When those front doors are open, I'd have easy access to half the space under the loft for piggie retrieval purposes. Maybe a thought? Pop a door in someplace on that side so you can get at them.
