Had the four girls in the run earlier, admittedly we placed them next to the two boys. When they were eating grass they were all fine, but half an hour later an almightly argument broke out. I heared some teeth chattering so went over to investigate and was amazed to see all the girls in different corners, chattering their teeth at each other pow-pow. It was quite a stand-off. Decided enough was enough and got them all back into the double hutch.

We know that the two sisters dont get along anymore as Dobbie always chases Nessa out of the bottom section of their double hutch, but we've never seen all 4 having an argument before. The boys seemed oblivious to it all tho rolleyes

Bickering sows almost always make up with the help of a neutered boar... Problem is I don't know how your boar pair would do with a new boy next door? Would you consider neutering the boys and let them live with two girls each? Or, if you have room to separate the girls I guess that's your easiest route...

I agree with skrikopanik; it has worked for other members.

Girls do fall out less often than boars, but it happens nevertheless. Perhaps it may be better in the long run to find a solution where you can keep Dobbie and Nessa separate. It can happen that one severe altercation takes over the whole group, but it stresses out the piggie a lot and they will need time to cool off.

Introducing Sylvester to our herd made a huge difference to the mood of teh ladies adn tey no longer have any squabbles at all. Plus sylvester is one happy boy!
