Hi some of you may remember me posting about 4 sows 2 young sisters who have both had litters, one of the sisters had boars wich have now gone to new homes. The other sister had sows (now 5-6 weeks old). They have been separated whilst rearing. I have now had them togerther during the day for the last couple of days, I take the lone sister out at night as she is a little bossy and has a go at her sister and her nieces. The has been no blood drawn just telling off from time to time and I have not felt like they need constant supervision.

So finally to my question. When do you think I can safely leave tham overnight?

Thanks in advance

They should be OK, as they are weaned now. "Big sis" is obviously spoiling for being the dominant sow, and you have to let them get on with it, even if it looks rough for a few days to weeks, until #1 is feeling safe in her position.

If you separate them, they have to start from scratch again, so don't do it, unless there is blood or really loud and protracted teeth chattering.
