The residents loved the piggies, especially Rapunzel! A lot of them said they had never seen a guinea pig before much less a long haired one. Some of them asked if she was a dog or a bunny! They all really enjoyed them and it was nice to see the kids interacting with the people and their piggies.C505CFEB-2D97-4AE5-A6E7-CE68B09A4DFE.webp6B6B366E-CBBB-44F4-AE33-BC21DE11B62D.webp4E8F3DE0-8ECA-4E41-9E87-CF8085F0AB5F.webp35DE35CD-0134-44BA-855C-CFB73F54A0A0.webpFF277F91-EE08-4A63-8798-BE852AA8662C.webp

Aw that is so lovely! It teaches children that old people are actually interesting. So many people dismiss the old un's as boring but they have incredible stories to tell.
I grew up visiting nursing homes on Christmas and Easter with my family and now I have carried on the tradition with my own kids. My grandma was in a nursing home for the last few years of her life and my daughters were like celebrities there! Now that my grandma has passed away, we still go there and visit. The residents love seeing children.

When my Gran went into a Nursing Home I was heavily pregnant with my middle son. When he was about 3 days old I introduced him to his Great Gran at the Nursing Home and he was passed to every resident and they absolutely loved holding a little baby. My Gran was 98 when she passed away and so they saw my middle son grow from a tiny baby to a toddler and all the residents really enjoyed seeing him.

Thats a lovely thing to do, thanks for sharing those photos with us here
