I'm wondering what to do for my 2 girls. Its seriously hot today and this is only the start of it here. Me and my daughter are in bikini's but I don't think the pigglies would like that very much! :(|)

I have given them a nice fresh bowl of water on top of refilling the water bottle with fresh several times a day. I read somewhere that you can put a frozen bottle of water in the cage? Is this just a normal plastic one? Is it safe for them do you think?

Thanks
Tracey

Where I live, 36 C is quite a normal temperature to have. I do put a frozen water bottle into the cage to cool things down a bit. I wrap the frozen water bottle in a thin towel and hide it underneath their fleece, towards the side of the cage. Do not just put an exposed frozen water bottle in the cage though.

when we (if we) have hot weather over here i put a bowl of water in (this is for my ferrets btw) and i drop a few ice cubes in it aswell, so its lovely and chilled..

Haven't tried it for piggies yet.. but maybe a small bowl of water with a few ice cubes in and chopped up cucumber in it.. :))
