3 week old boar humping his mum

My 3 week and 2 day old boar was humping his mother this evening, I have seperated him and he is on his lonesome now. Poor little mite, seems a cruel twist of fate for him to have to leave his mum whilost his sister can stay. What are the chances of him getting his mum pregnant? I am sure it has only started this evening, and she ran off grumbling at him. Thanks

They can impregnate from 3 weeks I think so you have done the right thing. I had to separate 3 boys from their mother at the same age because they were doing the same thing. A back to back pregnancy is bad for a piggie so you are not being cruel at all you would be more cruel to risk her getting pregnant again.
