I Would love to have more g-pigs but size of myxoxo house at min won't let me. I don't want too keep them outside either.

What size cage would happily house 3 girls? (I have a 2x4 cc with 2x1 hay loft which is having an add on of 3x1 hay loft too make an L shape 2nd level.)

Also if I ever did get another one would it upset my 2 girls?

Just want too do my reserch before I commit to anything.

My 3 pigs live in a Lavender Lodge :)

Girls are usually reasonably easy to bond, there's not often squabbles in my experience.

I think 5x2 is the minimum size for 3 piggies. Yours sounds like it will be bigger than that with the extra hay loft.

Sounds great. They should bond fine, I had 2 3 year old sows and introduced an 8 month old girlie and her neutered brother and there were a few squabbles for a couple of days but after that they were fine.

P.S. Love the piggy in your picture happsaz! (Is it yours?)

Cheers guys! Will do some serious thinking over weekend!

How old is your bonded pair? In my experience it is not always as easy introducing a third sow to an established pair - we have had quite a bit of heartbreak over this issues on the forum.

Have you thought about adding a neutered boar, provided you girls can date him before the adoption, so you can see whether that is a real option or not.

They are coming up for a year in November.

Yeah a neutered boar was another option i was thinking about as the NGPR is not far from me

At that young age, I would go for a boar - they will accept him pretty safely; the problems you get mainly with older sows. A boar will not upset the established hierarchy. You will find the social interaction pretty interesting!
